Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Had a mare mate, looked completely off the boil.

And the rumours I'm hearing suggest he's happy some of the time, but not so happy when he comes back down...;)

Ahhh now that doesnt surprise me at all sadly.

He had a bit of a reputation for that up here, but was supposed to have cleaned up his act, before hitting the form that won him his move.

If he's back to his old ways then you'll want rid before long.

For such an outstanding footballer, its clear that Fabregas is still a little immature. Throwing the pizza, slagging off Hughes, saying Arsenal women could draw with Spurs, are all basically comments from a teenager, which is what Fabregas still is.

Fabregas is actually amazingly mature and levelheaded for his age. The pizza throwing incident is like 3 years ago at this stage, the Hughes comment may have been ill-judged and said in the heat of the moment but is no less true for that. Quotes printed in the Sun don't even deserve comment, but it seems some people are prepared to accept it as gospel just to slag him off.

Fabregas is pretty much a model pro on the pitch, surprisingly so considering his age. He is unselfish and very much a team player, always gives 100 per cent, never dives, never dirty or a bad tackler. Despite the fact that he often has lumps kicked out of him he never retaliates. Off the pitch he is never controversial, never pictured out on the piss, never in any trouble of any sort. He keeps a low profile and lets his unbelivable footballing talent shine. Can't believe people are criticising him given the attitude and behaviour of other young players, some of whom were even on the pitch last night.

Edited to add: Look no further than Bentley.

Careful there Piggsy, if it's unsubstantiated rumours we're going on there's a few I could post about the other manager last night...;)
Don't worry buddy. The source where I found out that Arry is bent is impeccable.

Seriously, if that's your basis for calling Cesc immature and a teenager then all of the PL's managers (including your own) are a bunch of five year olds.

Pray tell reckless, seeing as Spurs just announced healthy financial results, are they that desperate to turn a profit? Pretty small time if you ask me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,458 ✭✭✭✭gandalf

TBH fair play to them trying to make a few readies from the result.

However it says alot that they release a DVD of a draw, most other teams would be releasing a DVD like that if it they stuffed the other team.

Seriously cha', sometimes in your own words you can be an "annoying mong"

Did football 365 put you on to that one?

We're awaiting Newcastle's effort from last weekend...oh wait...

It's minnowism of the highest order releasing a dvd of a drawn game tbh.

Yes yes, we lost our derby rivals, but even if we had hammered them (like we have for the best part of 30 yrs) I would be embarrassed if we released a DVD of it, even more so if it was just a draw. I wonder if Arsenal will be releasing a DVD of that one, something tells me they won't. I wonder why.

No, you're too busy producing £40 Victory Prints

I can't make out the caption from the enlarged picture so I'm not sure which of those hammerings it refers to, but I like the way they went for the wide angle to fit all the fat bastards in.

Geordies - Fat bastards, my my, how articulate you lot have become. Certainly a step up from calling for black players to be hung, and wishing aids upon them.

And BTW, that website you linked is a shootoff from Mike Ashley's Sports Direct company. I think as Newcastle fans, we have made it clear we want nothing to do with this man, and we don't line the pockets of his business.

Meanwhile, and I'm sure some "annoying mong" will have a pop at this as well, you can own the boots of the goalscorers:

    http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/articles/grabapieceofderbyhistory301008.html
    Here are the items...

Match Worn, Signed David Bentley Boots - The boots worn by the midfielder to volley home that memorable volley from fully 39 yards, one of the goals of the season and a one of the great moments of recent derby encounters. And they could be yours! CLICK HERE...

Match Worn, Signed Darren Bent Boots - Darren grabbed our second goal on the night, a cool finish after Manuel Almunia could only parry Tom Huddlestone's rasper. CLICK HERE...

Match Worn, Signed Jermaine Jenas Boots - Another goal to remember as JJ pickedup the ball on halfway and drove forward before curling a 20-yarder into the far corner to give us hope at 4-3. CLICK HERE...

Match Worn, Signed Aaron Lennon Boots - The winger was on the spot to complete the comeback three minutes, 15 seconds into four minutes of injury time after Luka Modric's volleyed cannoned back off the post. CLICK HERE...

Personally signed home shirt by Harry Redknapp - An ideal Christmas present. A 2008/2009 home shirt personally signed by manager Harry Redknapp. If yours is the winning bid, Harry will sign the shirt and personalise it to whoever you want! CLICK HERE...

The proceeds from these auctions will go to the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation and specifically towards upgrading facilities for visually impaired visitors to White Hart Lane, with the acquisition of new state-of-the-art audio headsets.

The specially manufactured headsets will supplement the Club's existing facilities and will enhance the experience for our visually impaired supporters both for matchdays and non-matchday visits including Stadium Tours.

I'd have thought the visually impaired would be considered the luckiest fans to visit WHL given the sh1t the rest of us have had to watch this season.

    Nice touch though.

I've made it quite clear what my opinion of that particular song is, but nice of you to mention the black angle...classy cha', real fcuking classy.

All this talk of small time makes me laugh, there's definitely something small time about a Newcastle fan who spends his time obsessing about a club the other end of the country when his own is still in such turmoil, maybe the recent 2-0 smarted a bit too much?

    Only just woke up.

A DVD released of a Draw 2 days after it happened. Quite possibly one of the most pathetic things I have ever seen...

Maybe they'll release a CD about how they all turned up for training on time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,213 ✭✭✭✭therecklessone

It's a standard two day wait for draws.

    5-1 wins take 24hrs.

Have to say, it was one of the best matches I've seen in the Premiership in a long time. Definitely the best so far this season.

It was great entertainment for the viewer. Great attacking quality, terrible defending.

As a Spurs fan I think it's pretty pathetic tbh. I know it was a memorable and immensely enjoyable match but to make a DVD from it? Having said that, it's little things like this that help to keep Spurs so financially secure so I'm not going to knock it.
