Lots of water! at least a litre with breakfast that'll fill ya up that you just wont be able to have a HUGE breakfast.

ENJOY the bad foods more by EARNING THEM! go for walks, swim in the pool, maybe every 2nd day eat healthy so you can enjoy your naught days.

but water water water, it'll stop any bloating from water retention...and save ya a few lbs on the scales.

@wednesday girl. Don't worry about it, I once went up 4 pounds in a week and when i went back then next week i was down 3. Sometimes i feel after eating badly i'm bloated too when i go to the weigh in so i usually haven't put on as much weight as i thought and hopefully it's the same case for you! Anything there's nothing like that horrible feeling of being told you're up weight to inspire you to lose more!!

Thanks a mil. I was just so annoyed with myself. Hopefully this week will go a lot better.. :)

Anyone ever thought of walking groups in their area??
I know there is none in mine - Bray but I need someone to kick me in the arse sometimes & say get out there. I joined ww & my friend goes a few weeks but unfortunately she cant manage the walking just yet. She has about 6 stone before she gets to upper weight but shes a super star for joing ww in the first place . I have a few lbs to lose this time but i enjoy walking.. Anyone any idea how to start such a group?

    Hi Everyone

Does anyone know if the weight watchers week is monday to sunday or if it depends on when you weigh in (im wednesday so maybe my week is wed to wed) i want to weigh in saturday this week but i'm wondering if that will count this week as a missed week?

    Thanks

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 49 who.dunnit

@gaoife I think you should be okay as the week is monday to sat with WW so as long as you're in that week you don't have to pay extra. I can end up going any day in the week from a monday to a thursday and it's never been a problem with ww. Have my weigh in this morning, v.nervous because i was good most days until sunday and then seemed to slip up a bit!

Just ordered the JUST FOR ME ww cookbook. I'd gotten a present of 2009 official cookbook last year, but all those recipes serve 6 or so and call for all sorts of random ingredients i know i wouldnt eat let alone be able to lay my hands on easily.

the JUST FOR ME is ww cookbook with recipes that serve ONE! Woooo! Cant wait for it to arrive! I love cooking, but its pain in the ass trying to scale down recipes for "one".

Its like my head, my mind, my body is happy again...I went out and got a life. As soon as I gave in and just got a life! i suddenly came out of the platuae. I've been bragging to everyone that this forum is great.

It really did help me clear my head. Cos i was really kicking my self over it. Hearing other people of all ages and walks of life had gone thru same thing while on ww really helped!

trying to explain it to non ww ppl is just impossible. I had one friend claime...oh sure i know lots of ppl on ww so you can talk to me...HA! thats like a man saying they understand period cramps!

So in the past 10 days since my MELTDOWN! I have....gone out dancing, clubbing, drinking, shopping, gone out to lunch with friends, gone on a date, arranged a second date with him ;) bought my self a shiney new pink phone....cos feck it....i deserve it! need something new to keep up with new found social life LOL

Scales might be up 1 or 2 this week....but 40lbs in.....I can live with that...if i can lose 40....I KNOW I CAN DO IT! I've come this far....there is no way in hell i could ever go back to what I used to eat. When I do reach my goal...and I really believe now....that I can get there. I'd consider becoming a leader and doing a nutrition course, just as a hobby, to spread the word.

Hey am doing the weightwatchers am fairly sticking to it but the drink at the weekends is killing me! I usually drink wine or coors any other suggestions? or how to avoid all the baaad food that goes along with the drinking/socialising such as the nibbles and hangover food? has anyone managed to come up with solutions? Its ruining my weightwatcher dieting  but i dont fancy staying in every weekend either! :)

Down 3 pounds today yay!!! Have a few nights out this week and heading away for the weekend but i'm just going to try to be disciplined. I hate coming back from holiday and having put on weight because just because i'm out of the country it shouldn't be a reason to stuff my face!! I hope everyone has a good weekend and can keep the hungover nibbles at bay. I find a bagel with an egg or some beans really good after a night out and it's not that many points! Also get some ice-pops like mr freezes low calorie or something like that because some of them only have 1cal per ice and they really help a hangover!!

The best tip I heard about wine is to order a spritzer (wine with club soda in it) because it lasts longer for the same points. Like you get two spritzers for the same points as one glass of wine.

I'm at 11 stone now and this last stone is sooo hard to get rid of... got weighed today, I was expecting 2 pound down maybe more and when I checked the scales I was up 2 pound :( I feel sooo disappointed I have never worked sooo hard seriously I jogged 5 times this week, stayed within my points

I can't explain why this happened, my bf keeps saying its because I'm jogging too much and I could be gaining muscle.. ever since I stopped walking and started jogging, I have been losing less. I was guaranteed to lose between 2 to 3 pound every week but now its either up 1 or down 1... no big losses anymore

I cried when I found out today because I felt like this week was such a waste so I went straight to Eddie Rockets and pigged out, I feel so guilty now. I don't know what I should changed, Maybe Ill never get rid of the stone

    I really need some advice

  • Registered Users Posts: 176 ✭✭Muirgheal

Alpha- haven't you lost over 3 stone?

Imagine if you hadn't lost that how would you feel!

I had a few bad weeks when I started, so what I would say is don't fret bout eddie rockets- tomorrow is the start of your new ww week.

Try to go back to what you did in week one- it'll remind you of the basics, and make you feel better about what you have done. But you may need to consume more points if you're jogging that much. You'll be able to judge that better next week.

I do really feel the frustration you feel, but think of this- I wish I was down to my last stone! xxx

    Hi Alpha,
Don't panic about eddie rockets hopefully you got it out of your system and you can just start again. What could be happening is that sometimes the effort you put in this week will only show next week so you may yet see the results of all that jogging, the other thing is were you eating up to your points allowance because if your not and you're doing all that extra exercise then maybe you're not eating enough, mad as it may sound it could have that effect. by the way if it's your time of the month it could well affect your weight too. Anyway best of luck for next week

    + 1 to Muirgheal and Sally's posts.

Our leader told us that when you're doing a lot of activity you should be eating at least half your activity points otherwise your body will start compensating for the lack of energy and hang on to the fat......if that makes sense!

    Hey Alpha,

It's an odd attitude to have but I've always thought that weight doesn't matter, my clothes size does. It probably comes from always being heavier than I look. If you're not noticing any difference in your measurements, then maybe you're not eating enough for the exercise that you're doing. But if you're losing inches, does your weight really matter that much?
