    Afternoon All,

    Hope we're all winning today!

Not having too bad a weekend so far, so hopefully might actually be positive points wise for the week rather than trying to make up for bad weekend for the whole week.

Trying to work up the enthusism to go for a walk!

    Hi guys

Well as i mentioned i had two nites out and yes my alcohol intake was extreme :D:D Friday and saturday food was good just sat and sun drinking which completely knocked me back. Its monday again thoug and i can just try and get back on track til weds.

Jwaqui i no where your coming from i really do, the past few weeks have just been mad for me iv remained around the same weight for like 8 weeks now and it really does get disheartening. You just have to try not think about the time element you know. Oh and my biggest temptation is when im bored and not in work. Like weekends kill me with socialising and the likes but you have to get thru them you know. Some weeks are easier than others. Chin up we will all get there. Iv 3lb for my next silver seven and by god it is killing me to get there. But i no i will even if it is later then expected..

Good luck with rest of week i no i need it x

Funny week since last monday. Missed my weighin today as my daughter is off school so I'll weigh in tomorrow. Lost focus and found myself reaching for the snacks every evening. Velvet crunch or low point muesli bars but I went over my points every night. Going to grab the dog now and head up the park now for an hours walk. Let you all know how I got on after tomorrow.

    Morning All

I've had a good week food wise so far but unfortunately have only walked once which was on Saturday morning. None the less I think I will be ok for weigh in on Thursday.

Jwacqui I hope you are feeling better. I definitely dont think your on your own with your battle, loosing weight is not easy it is a battle and if you have a lot of weight to loose it can seem like a never ending battle. At my heaviest I weighed 18 stone 3 lbs!! I lost a stone before I joined weight watchers so I was 17 stone 3 when I joined and that was in 2001. Since then Ive joined and left countless times, Ive lived abroad for a year and a half come back, and continued to join and rejoin. Fortunately this time I am getting somewhere. When I joined the last time I promised myself that I would go to my weigh in Good Bad or Ugly and Im proud to say that Thursday week will be what I am classing as my 1 year anniversary .....I joined on the 10th April last year and havent had to rejoin once, the only weeks off were my holidays bar one other week. For the first 6 months all was good as I was motivated by my friends wedding in September, after that I continued to loose slowly and I got down to 13 stones 4.5 lbs which is the lightest weight by far, that was the week before Christmas. Since then I have more or less stayed the same...up a few, down a few. Last week I weighed 13st 6.5 lbs. Although I havent lost anything for a few months I have continued going to weight watchers and I know this is the reason I have maintained and to be honest I am delighted to have maintained. I think something has clicked again for me now though and I am confident of restarting the weight loss over the summer months.

Anyway I know Im going on but I just thought you should know that you are not alone in your battle. Although we dont tend to talk about these things with our friends there are people everywhere with the same battle.

Keep on trying, dont give up. Take it slowly and be happy :D

Hi guys, I was down 2lbs last night. I am delighted, I have done a lot of exercise and have been 70% good with food so I am chuffed to see the exercise paying off. I am now back down to one under my goal and just one pound off my lightest. I am 9 3 and want to get to 9. Feel I am really back on track now. Well done to everyone else, seems to be a good week all round.

stopped going to w/w a month ago, and slowly crept back into my old habits. Dusting myself down and joining next tuesday (again)....

It's time to stop whinging and start doing something about my weight.

    Hi Everyone,

Just back from weigh in and after a week where I really did struggle I was down half a pound. I'm happy with that, its the right direction and its progress. I'm taking this one step at a time and not giving up. I'm not leaving weight watchers to return again at a different stage, this is a life long struggle and I'm gonna keep at it.

Thank you so much Shellybelly and 1lbAtaTime, your encouragement really means alot and spurs me to go. Thanks for sharing.

Hope I have a good week, Im starting off determined!! So, here goes!

Hope you all are getting on fantastic and have a wonderful week!!

    J x ;)

Well done Jwacqui,,,,half a pound is an achievement, they say the pennies make the pounds and in our cases its the half pounds that make the stones ;) and with the right attitude you can do it.

    Evening all,
What a miserable night! Can honestly say I haven't walk an inch for exercise all week. But have been really trying my hardest to stick within my points, an apart from the odd point have been sticking to it so fingers crossed.

Well done Jwacqui and Pinkchick on the loss, and welcome back to WW Smurph, isn't it amazing how fast the weight goes back on once you stop tracking.

Hope everybody else is having a good day.

Well done on the weight losses every one I had my weigh in tonight and I was down 2 pounds so the long walks in the park are paying off. I do find the weekends difficult though and this one is going to be a looong weekend starting thursday night and not over til tuesday. Watch out for those Easter eggs:)
Keep on trying, dont give up. Take it slowly and be happy

I like that 1lbAtaTime, might make it my mantra

hey, i started back to ww this day last week and have my first weigh in tonight, I've been really good so fingers crossed my only concern is that I'm on 26 points a day and I cant seam to finish the points each day, my leader said we should aim to eat all our points in a week.. so does that mean i'll put on weight really quickly if i eat without counting after my weight loss? I'm just not able to eat 26 points a day for some strange reason.. maybe it's because I only have filling foods in the house now... any ideas?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,846 ✭✭✭barbiegirl

went to ww last night, having missed last week cause in the Uk with work, and down 2.5 lbs. Really happy now but loads more to do

  • Registered Users Posts: 125 ✭✭9st n 09

Starflake - the general rule of thumb used to be that you could "save" or not use up to 4 points a day but if you ate too few points your matabolism would slow up and you wouldn't loose weight. Haven't heard of any new theory with the new plan but I would presume you'd be safe enough eating 22 points a day. I'm sitting here dreaming about what I could eat for a spar 4 points a day, hmmmmm I hear a creme egg calling me!:D

Well done barbiegirl on the loss its great to get a good result after missing a week.

My WI is tomorrow night so fingers crossed as I think I've had a fairly good week!

Well done everyone on your losses this week!

I had my first weigh in today and was down 2lbs:D Came home and cooked myself a fab prawn stirfry and treated myself to a crunchie - heaven! I suppose I should be saving my points till Easter though. There were posters up at the meeting with the points for the different Easter eggs - some of them are 30 points each! Maybe I should just have a little cadburys creme egg instead of a big one this year. Are you all going to treat yourselves to an egg this year?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,772 ✭✭✭Jwacqui

I will definately not be having an easter egg this year. I was going to have one after weigh in tuesday but I have decided not to. Way too many points I would rather have no easter egg and a loss than an easter egg and a gain simple as.
Our leader said it would take 8hours to walk off an easter egg!!!

    No thanks!

Well done shellybelly thats great keep up the good work!! Loads of losses this week!

I'm just back from a 20min moderate walk in St.Annes!! OMG I am so so unfit. In all my ww time I have never been one for getting the exercise part down! Even when I lost near 3stone I never got off my bum so im gonna this time!

I woke up late today so have only managed to eat 5points! And we are making a beef curry for dinner!! MMM I can taste it already!! :P

My friend joined WW last night and I went with them even though I had my meeting and weigh in the night before. Its actually a good benefit of membership that once you weigh in once you can go to any other meetings free of charge in the week. Its made me more motivated!! 2ww meetings in a week!! :D

How is everybody else getting on?

Hi folks i m new here.

I did a lot of searching here but i cannot find it out?

What is the story please with Extra Virgin Olive Oil?

I joined two weeks ago, last week i lost 8 lbs.

This week i am devastated was up 3lbs and i thought i was going to have another good weigh in.

Only thing i may have done wrong was had Extra Virgin Olive Oil on Brown bread in the mornings insted of spreads as i thought it would be healthy ect. I was stunned at the with in very disheartening altogether. :(

  • Registered Users Posts: 125 ✭✭9st n 09

After a disaster of a WI last up being up 3 lbs was down 4 1/2 last night!!!! Chuffed to bits and now down under 10 stone (if even by just 1/2 lb) so all happy.

Irish Homer, 99% sure that Extra virgin olive oil is a point per teaspoon. I'm using Olivio spread at the minute, its a point for an once so i'm tending to using only .5 once per sambo so it works out as .5 pt.

Have a good day every body.

  • Registered Users Posts: 125 ✭✭9st n 09

    OMG I'm down to 16 points a day!!! :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Put on the no points soup and get out walking walking walking!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 59 ✭✭1lbAtaTime

    Oh Dear Oh Dear....
I was up 1 lb this week. Sooooooooo disappointed, I genuinely thought I would have been down this week. I'm always able to accept being up when I know I've deserved it but this week was a shocker!!! I was so mad last night.

Anyway there are 2 ways I can go now,,,,that is I can do the old me thing and eat to make myself feel better or I can close the book on last week and get on with it......I am choosing the later :) I've been up and had poached egg on toast and am about to get up and go out to Bray for a nice walk along the sea front, blow the cob webs off and get cracking on having a good week this week.

Today is my 1 year ww anniversary :) I've lost 2 stones 2.5 lbs in the year and definitely feel much better in my own skin with that weight gone so I guess Ive gotta keep going and this time next year will be at goal.

Happy Easter Eggs to all ;)

  • Registered Users Posts: 395 ✭✭shellybelly08

    Thanks Shellybelly

I've had a good start to the week.....bang on my 21 points and have done 45 minutes walking total.

I went walking after breakfast and I was getting really wet so cut it short at 20 minutes but rather than leave it at that I went back out this evening and did another 25 minutes :)

Tomorrow will be tough as I'm away over night and will definitely be having a night on the beer but going to try to count this into my points for the day and also make sure I go for another walk in the morning before I head off.

That pound is getting kicked in the behind asap :D

    Thanks for the support.

I thought hard today about what i may have done wrong and i came up with possible 3 mistakes:

    1. I ate three shop ready made small pancakes (not sure points value)

    2. Switched from Skim Milk to Soya sugar free milk as it stated it lowerc Cholesterol but i never looked at its fat content.

    3. I had a few spoons of olive oil on Brown bread instead of spreads and i just noticed its 91% fat per 100ml
