Bluegrass venues?

Anyone know of decent venues round the country for bluegrass & country music? Have a friend coming to stay and promised I would look out some venues but not having much luck with google. And I dont mean country and western! Or dancing!! Cheers

I'm unaware of any venues dedicated to bluegrass & country. Your best bet would probably be to see who is playing in your local venues mid-week. For instance, Whelans had O'Death playing recently enough (they are a contemporary bluegrass, folky/ punky outfit).
