Nissan are usually good for offers like that.

Gosh - have we progressed to scrapping 00 reg cars already ?

    Ode To The Motorist

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

scrappage deal = unsaleable new or used car with an artificially high price, take a few grand off the high price, call the discount your scrappage deal, you end up with a Tiida or something similarly horrendous.

Thanks guys, a mechanic told me that the 00 1 litre corsa's are crap when because they have 3 cylinders I checked it out and it seems to be true.
I've had a bit of bother with her, I needed a new air flowmeter and now the oil is leaking. I think I did a bit of damage to her cos I drove with the oil light on and the car was screaming at me. I'd a choice of stopping on the North Quays during peak time traffic or keep driving to work off Grafton St so I kept going.
Scrappage is the best I can hope for I think. I was told no where takes my car as a trade in.
    Thanks for the replies
