Totally agree there, La Villa is one of my favourite tracks of all time, pure genius.

May not be to everyone's taste but Everclear have done 3 instrumentals in recent years, all 3 minutes or so long but pretty good imo. Halloween Americana, El Distorto De Musica and Walk Dont Run.

Great call. Earthless are a blinding band. Their Rhythms From a Cosmic Sky album is a modern classic. Good to see bands like this doing these long heavy jams. Top notch stuff. Their set from Roadburn has also been released lately on Tee Pee.

Another band worth a mention is Mystick Krewe of Clearlight (members of Down and Eyehategod I think). They paly only instrumentals - plenty of heavy 70s style grooving hammond organ. Excellent stuff.
