Hey ive posted this in the games forum aswell but not much luck with people.

Does anyone know how to connect to xbox live using the 02 modem? I know that youve to connect the ethernet cable into the lapto from the xbox. When i ran the test it kept failing at the ip address stage but I fixed that an it got as far as the xbox live stage but now it keeps failing at the mtu stage....can anyone shed some light it would be great thanks

Even if it works it won't work.

Disconnects too often and ping too high.

You need to set up ICS on Win2k/Xp/Vista which is not a good solution. A dedicated router is much better. (Netgear, Draytek, Dovado, Linksys and Dlink all make specialist 3G modem routers, though many only take PCMCIA Data cards rather than USB modems).

I dont have o2, but this might help.
So you your 02 modem plugged in to a usb port, and your xbox into the ethernet port.
There are 2 things you can try, in network connections, you should see your 02 and your ethernet connections, highlight both then right click and bridge them.
Then right click your o2 connection/properties and go to advanced tab, click allow other network users to connect through this computers internet connection.
I can say for sure that that will work with o2 as its considered dial up by the pc. if it dosent, then you can try setting up your laptop as a proxy server using downloaded software such as

    This might also help
