    Windy (gust 25mph) and wet since 8pm. Cleared off now. An intensive 20 minute burst of rain. 7.2mm delivered here this evening. High of 11.1c just before the rain arrived. Low of 7.8c last night.

    Torrential downpour in Newcastle West about half an hour ago. Lasted about 20 mins. Even knocked out the satellite for a while and I missed the Arsenal goal :(
