SDI tuning

hi i was wondering is it worth my while trying a tuning box on a seat leon SDI i know it would make more sense to buy a TDI but at the time i was buying my first car and gettin insured i couldnt get insurance on a TDI, so would it be worth trying a tuning box or would it be a complete waste of money and time?

Is there even one made for a NA diesel? Even if so, i'd imagine gains would be quite limited.

just buy something else. Even if you got an extra 10bhp by some miracle, it'd still be a very slow car.

I really wouldn't bother and waste your money. But a TDI instead. Different car. SDI cars and not made for performance.

stay the **** away from ebay tuning boxes. There useless and only screw up your car. They dont chip it with a better map but fool the car into thinking it nedds more diesel and that the temperature is lower, thats where the extra power comes from!

thanks for advice i had heard that alrite, that the box fools ecu in to thinking it is running at lower temperature, unfortuanately im back at college so a new car is out of the question i may just drive the hell out of my sdi for another while

I'd just drive it as it is now. There is hardly anything to tune in a NA diesel you would be lucky to scrape another 1HP off them boxes
