Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just under an hour to go until the start, ITV weather just said that theres a high risk of rain which could make things even more interesting.

That ITV F1 compilation was pretty epic :)

    Yeah it was cool enough.

Was hoping that they might bring back Muddy Talker for their last broadcast. Is it Setanta that are taking over coverage next season?

    Massa for the win.

Unfurling a Union Jack in front of the crowd however wasn't:rolleyes:
Nope it's heading back to BBC, in fairness to ITV though, for all their muck and commercial breaks they did develop the coverage fairly well, hopefully the BBC won't drop the ball.

Seeing all the lads clowning around was like seeing a Professional Wrestler breaking character, was really good to see.

    Come on Felipe!!

Used to be a big F1 fan, but let interest slide about 5/6 years ago.

I'm tuning in now, just to see the first corner if anything!

They're saying there's a possibility of a big thunderstorm during the race.

Likewise, was a massivie fan of the sport at one stage, still remember exactly where I was when I heard Senna had died.

Today really has the feeling that something epic could hapin at Interlagos, so many factors, milestones and personalities coming in to play.

    It was a great video
It is here in case anyone missed it

I must say I am very nervous and very excited.

I'm not sure if I want it to rain or not. Rain makes the race way more exciting. But we all know the McClaren is better in the rain....

    Aw no!

    Its RAIN!

Indeed, I can remember being in my grandparent's in Sligo and watching it on a 14" television :D

I only have a very passing interest now, and have only seen a few bits of pieces of this season's races. I haven't been subjected to ITV's jingoism around Hamilton, so I don't feel the dislike for him that a lot of people have here (although I can understand how the British media can make you dislike someone!).

I've only seen Hamilton being interviewed on Top Gear, and I thought he came across quite well. Anyone who says that he's a bad ambassador for the sport is mad - young, talented, outspoken, black in a sport traditionally dominated by a rich white elite; he's a dream poster-boy for any organisation, and the reason most non-F1 fans would be tuning in today!

    It's starting to lash rain!

    YAY RAIN

    come on hamilton....

    its allready stoped....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,084 ✭✭✭afatbollix

could dry tho very quick ... like germany last year.... it was dry in 7-10 mins...

I actually like Hamilton, seems very down to earth, but it is easy to see how people would be irritated by the obsession that ITV have with him.

Remember watching a documentary about Hamilton before his first season and thinking it would be worth throwing a few quid on him to win a race at any point during the season, he was massive odds.

On topic, that rain is going to make it even more interesting. Also that safety car is spectacular.

If he already had the McLaren drive sorted out then the bookies were being stupid.

Rain is perfect for Hamilton, he can go further and from the forecast the rain will probably be just after ferraris make their first stops, while Hamilton won't have.

Also the damp track will probably stop the Ferraris from getting a decent lead before they do pit.

All falling into place for Lewis.

would you rather adds at the end of the race??? might as well get them out of the way now!!!!

it costs somthing like a 10 - 20 million a race!!! they have to pay for them some how...

It's gonna end in tears for a few today. They're really driving on the edge. Massa done well to keep control.

This is some exciting stuff right here. The slipping around is incredible stuff. Hamilton 6th now. 8.5 secs to massa.

  • Registered Users Posts: 386 ✭✭Irishshin

This has to be the scariest race this year lol

    Way to Go Fisi!

Certainly makes for an unpredictable race. One place to make up and Hamilton is in place to take it all. Throwing it away by playing it too safe?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,990 ✭✭✭Cool_CM

They're all having a hard time of it into the 2nd corner, somebody's going to go off there before long. More rain will throw it wide open seeing as they've all changed over to slicks. Brazil is always a great race!

Fantastic take by Hamilton to steal 5th!

Did well to keep control and not take out Fisi too

*hopes for a massive Hamilton engine failure during the ad break*
    Edit: No joy...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,990 ✭✭✭Cool_CM

Some rain about now would be brilliant

  • Registered Users Posts: 386 ✭✭Irishshin

    I dont want rain!

If Hamilton has to win the championship I don't wanna have to see him on the podium!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,155 ✭✭✭juvenal

    Looks like more rain?

11 laps to go. Hamilton looks like he's playing it safe. The tension will be unreal now in the last ten laps.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,990 ✭✭✭Cool_CM

Sounds like it's coming, wonder who'll stay out

    The rain has started.

Drama with Hamilton - will he let him pass!!?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,155 ✭✭✭juvenal

Raikkonen, Alonso and Hamilton are all in the pits for wets.

Massa is still out on the track!

Edit: Massa had just headed in to the pits. There's still drama in this race with 4 laps to go!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,990 ✭✭✭Cool_CM

Here comes massa now, great final laps

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,155 ✭✭✭juvenal

Hamilton is now trying to defend his fifth place!

If Vettel gets past Hamilton, then it over for Lewis. They need more rain now to get the most out of the new tyres.

I'm feeling tense - I can't even imagine being involved in this. Look at Hamilton's brother!

My chest is thumping! It doesn't get closer than that! Hamilton sounds like he's crying on the car radio.
