Orienteering in kerry

    HI just wondering if any of ye have taken part in orienteering events in kerry? when are they on and is there usually a big turnout. also what training do you do for orienteering

    I've taken part in one or two. I'm not from there though, so only now and again. I know a few people in Kerry-O though, the kerry orienteering club, and they are very nice. The turnout at each event obviously varies - there were maybe about 50 people at the last kerry event, looking at the results, there might be a couple of hundred at a championship - but head along to one, introduce yourself, and check it out.

    it's in muckross this sunday - if you want I could get you contact details for some of the kerry-o people if you wanted to e-mail them before turning up? But if you just turn up on the day and chat to them, they should look after you :)
