This is a ridiculous statement. I've met Dom and he's a good bloke - I just have a problem with his nazi type fitz loving response to actual problems I've had there.

I must say chopper i love the way that you have taken to argue with other posters just cause they don't agree with what you said, like the child who throws his toys out of his pram cause he doesn't get his own way, grow up and forget about it, if your not happy about what went on in the fitz - tell the management about the dealers, if your not happy about the girl behind the desk tell the manager - if you are referring to denise as the girl - then learn to respect your elders and call her by her name - if your not happy with her, tell the front desk -

If the fitz is as bad as you say it is then why does it do so good?
example last sat night i played the EOM is the SE - 2 tables - no cash games - place was dead around 9:30

walk over to the fitz, 5/6 tables of tournaments, 2 holdem games and an omaha game @ 9:30

I'm not having a go at you, i'm just saying 1/2 bad experiences doesn't mean that the places sucks as you said, I loved to hear about your views of the jackpot on a friday/saturday night...

Now I get your context. Saying "poor baby" to you is much worse that saying I am responding like a nazi.

The general upshot of what I am saying is if you don't like the place don't bother going there. What apart from 'poor baby' was nazilike about my posts? You slated somewhere, I defended it, but still said each to their own. It is not perfect, the main issue I have with it is that it is too cramped all over, but that is due to physical limitations and since every table is often utilised then it would be hard to justify removing more tables.

One issue I have never had there is that the staff were unfriendly. There have been a few dodgy dealers, and some have their off days, but in general now with some of the new additions especially, the dealers are top quality in there imo.

He's right, you teased us a few months ago by saying you would stop posting. Unfortunately it was not to be. At the time most of your post made you come across as the nut moron. Then you seemed to have grown up and now you are back to being the nut moron again.

OP has made valid points apart from the table list which is def strict.....I hate playing in the Fitz but its the only place in Dublin were you will get a decent game whether its holdem or omaha....Im like the majority out there who would rather playing in the SE but the player value is def not there anymore apart from the occasional random night....the Fitz currently is full of terrible players and the way the place is set up and run is what attracts these players.....dont laugh but it reminds me of a betting shop....most are there to gamble....The main thing is if u are playing poker to make money then the annoying elements of the Fitz should not bother u.....My main gripe is when that idiot they call the General sits beside me....That lad smells absolutely awful....On a plus side there is def nowt wrong with that blonde big boobed bit of stuff at reception....its not all bad!

I went to the fitz last night for only the second time in 6 months (also my second time in a week) and the place is a disgrace.......

In both my visits I've had to put up with the following

    1. When I got called to play I asked the girl (a p1ss poor Luke replacement) at the desk for chips. She said no problem I'll get them in a second and continued working on her clip board for near 10 minutes before exchanging my cash for chips
    2. Two of the three dealers I had constantly were getting the pots wrong. When the players were trying to explain where they made mistakes the dealers were snapping at them.
    3. The dealers were paying no attention to what was going on, continually slowing the game up. They also kept misdealing which led to more rake been taking out of the few pots we did play.
    4. At show down the dealers kept showing the mucked hand(s) of the losing player(s) whether it was requested or not, instead of just awarding the pot.
    5. Our names weren't even put on the board to move tables. Instead random people were asked to move.

    6. Not really a fitz thing, but a player thing. The players ethicate was terrible. They kept slow rolling, asking to see losing hands, getting involved in hands verbally that they weren't actually involved in. The dealers (a fitz thing) were to weak to do anything and let players away with everything.

Hopefully another casino will be able to compete with the player base that the fitz has ASAP, cos I know I will not be playing live cash again in the fitz.

I would highly recommend that players stop going there!!!!

i beg to disagree with the thread that you make, as a former employee, the fitz is always the best club in dublin and it always be, like what dom says,
a.where can you find a club that gives away thousand of prizes every month in their raffle
b.plenty of nice food, they have a chinese buffet every sunday and a selection of foods every last thurs of the month.
c.and if you have problem with the dealer/s, call the attention of the poker manager (denise) or if shes not around, call the floor supervisor, they will sort out ur problem with the dealer/s.
d.and if you have problem with the player/s, why not tell the dealer so that he/she can inform the particular player/s that what hes/shes doing is a bad table manner in poker.
    e. im sure you notice when you we're there that the place is busy and they always busy, maybe they just forgot to put ur name on the board, you should be grateful that ur name is not there, some people doesnt want to be move around.
and being there only twice after six months doesnt give you the right to judge the place and try to convince other poker players NOT to go there bcoz you had a bad experience.

and i heard there are a lot of new HOT chicks in the club, i wish im still there, hehehe

Might have been just unlucky with the evening nd the dealers you got. Given the turnover there's generally new dealers being trained in but there are a lot of excellent dealers there: Lucie (best dealer in Dublin IMO), Pavel, Adam and Grace to name but a few. Denise is also on the ball, they keep tourney regs to the minimum, food is great, staff are generally friendly.

The only problem I ever have with the Fitz is the player culture there on occasion, but as my wife so shrewdly concluded in Killarney recently, good poker players are usually nice people, and bad poker players are usually assholes, so anywhere there's fish there'll be assholes.

are you calling me an ashole?

I disagree with this Dara, a lot of pros I've played with are egocentric assholes, in fact it's refreshing to meet one who isn't.....I think the mix is the same. and watching the WSOP final stages, some right ignorant assholes there who 'reportedly ' are pros.

I played in a pub game a while ago and 90% in there were sound . (some good and bad players there)

I feel exposed out here this thread needs to go into the BBV section
