LOL...this is exactly what happened to me apart from I was playing cash.....I thought it was great...As i said I will def mbe sending this ti evryone I know.....As for that Nicnic....what a disgrace....as a sponsored Pro thsi is no way of representing your firm.....I think we should push for a resignation or suspension similar to that Russell Brand and Jonathn Woss with the BBC.....

Undoubtedly. Lightning fast at dishing the cards out, moving the action along, calculating side pots and I've never seen her make a mistake or get flustered by an angleshooter.

My brother and I nicknamed her the Dealer of Death a while after she appeared in the Fitz because two to three times as many players used to exit tourneys when she was dealing at the table but of course the reason for this was she was dealing 2-3 times as many hands as anyone else in the same time.

You see Chopper, my main problem with above is that you come on here ranting and raving, recommending that players stop going to the Fitz, yet you never reported the matter to Denise or the dealers etc.

Before you start ordering the placards and demanding the place be boycotted, maybe you should have spoken to the Management.

Before you reply let me add that

A. Yes I am on the players Committee in the Fitz, there is a list of the people who are on the Committee printed up on the Notice board, and if any players have any suggestions on how to improve things, queries etc., they want to bring to the Management they can go through us.

B. Yes the Fitz is my favourite club in Dublin, and I like the place.

you should have reported your concerns to the people in charge..... my 2 cents anyway....

You are correct - I should have reported my concerns to management at the time. There were 3 of us in there and we all felt the same way about it.

I have a point of view and expressed it. Much the same way as people have had a view regarding other clubs. I shouldn't be bashed for this (not saying you have - I think your first post was fair)

It just seems so strange that you would wait 10 minutes when there is a hatch beside the desk to get chips aswell.. Was it 10 minutes total for the two times you were there...

Look lets not drag this out futher.

If you have a complaint about something speak to the management, then if you are treated wrong fair enough, put the post up, but I feel that you are slating the fitz on one hand, yet on the other hand you did not tell the fitz your problems, and give them a chance to make changes etc.,

I play in the Fitz on a regular basis and have to say i think its the best card room in dublin. The staff are great, full tables and a few donks to make your money off :-)
But the only issue i have come accross was a ruling at my latest visit when a hand played out with one player all in pre flop and 2 more players still betting. the all-in player stood up from the table and the flop came something like 8910. the other 2 players continued betting. the all-in had moved away from the table (to look at a hand on another table beside his one ) and dealer took & mucked his cards. the turn was a nothing card and river was a Q. as the river card came the all-in player came back to the table to find his cards were mucked and he asked for them back. the dealer asked him what they were and he checked the muck and gave him back his cards. one of the players that was still betting had floped a straight with his 67 but the all-in had hit a bigger staight with his JJ so the 67 called for a ruling

the ruling was" in the fairness of the game that the JJ's were good " :eek:?????????????

im my eye's once your hands hit the muck, weither is be your fault or a dealers mistake your hand is dead ?????????????

any opinions on this???

Ricky is more than entitled to give his opinion here. People should stop jumping on him though, I dont agree with Ricks viewpoint as I have always found the fitz to be a great place to play and a good bit of banter as well. I think he over reacted and maybe just caught the place on a "off" night.

Donal "Ace 2007" can u please take your tongue out of peoples asses. Its incredible the amount of ass tongueing you do around here. grow up.

I have only ever been in The Fitz twice, the first time i was in there i didnt really get a feel for the place to be honest, but the second time i played was for a charity event for Eammon and Willow.

I have to say i had a savage day, i was blown away by the hospitality of the place they done everything in there power to make sure the event went off without a hitch!

(1) The dealers and floorstaff were excellent.

(2) The grub they put on was really good.

(3) They had some novelty spot prizes for people that got knocked out towards the end.

From that alone it would definately make me go back to the place again.

In fairness i have been there about 10 times in my entire life. Whenever i have been there I always found it very welcoming, hot female staff, decent grub and a bit of banter.

I dont want to critiseze anybody else but i never had the same feelings for the SE or the Jackpot.

It's not so much the fact that he's voicing his opinion, it's more the fact that he's quite obviously a liar and an attention seeker.

He says it was the second time he'd been there in a month, then later in the thread he says it was the second time in a week, then once he's been caught out in the lie he goes back to the OP to try and cover it up with an edit, and this is nowhere near the first time he's done this with his posts. Remember the $500 STT that never was?

Everyone here knows the fitz it's not that badly run, and everyone knows that leaving punters standing at the desk for ten minutes is not Denise's style.
