    Hi,

Just wondering how soon you expect the JG Steyr Augs to be back in stock? I've seen a lot of youtube reviews that rate them over the CA Augs!

    Thanks!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,551 ✭✭✭swiftblade

    Stuff arrived this morning. :D

One problem. The addjustment wheel on the red dot is really difficult to turn. Is this normal?

Also is there a way to turn it off?

    Thanks :)

Gave the grenade a quick lick of piant. ;)

Couldn't give you an eta mate.
The best selling Jing Gong guns are in very low supply at the moment.
I'll throw out somemore feeders, but I won't make any promises.

It's normal for the wheel to be a little tough to turn when they're new.
They turn in small increments, from a notch to a notch, hence the slow movement.
All the Red Dragon equipment is like that.
If you want to loosen her up a bit spray a wee drop of silicone oil on it & she'll move a little quicker.

Turning it off. I'll presume you've managed at this time to cut the power switch.
    In case you have not:
Turn the knob all the way around or switch her backwards to the original point. She's new so she'll be a little stiff.

    Grenade looks very well. :)
    Regarding the bore hole:
To completely block the bore hole, tape over the hole & remove the arming mechanism. Pour a little plaster of paris into the casing & leave to set. When dry remove the tape, sand to desired shape & paint.
You can then remount the arming mechanism.
Et voila a perfectly round baseball grenade. :)

Yup its got a bit looser now.

Good tip there for the grenade. The hole isn't as big as i imagiened anyway :)

That begadi spray paint is top notch (what i used to spray the grenade) Dries very quickly.

I also added a spring to the top of the grenade so when the pin is pulled the spoon flips up. :)

Not to worry, I appreciate anything you can do, it's just being a terrible lefty it's hard to find good aeg's to suit. The Dboys scar looks promising if there's a long wait for the Augs given it's ambidextrous as well!

    Thanks,

    Tom

    Grenades arrived today thanks!
Pretty cool things, will stick up a pic in a while.
Have not had a chance to paint them yet as am so poor
at the moment from different airsoft purchases cant afford the paint! I do have a 25kg bag of dental plaster in my shed (used for model makeing) so will have no issues plugging the holes!
