    i'm not sure what you're asking in your reply, do you mean connection?

    yes, an antenna does boost the signal dramatically...

    i've never used any of these antenna's though and don't know what are the differences between them?

    It only helps signal. Not contention.

    If your signal is good enough, it makes no difference. Modems without aerial sockets are pretty usless for external aerials.
