Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Posting DJ sets on myspace

    Hi there,
New to the dance forum so greetings all round.

A technophobe friend asked me to put one of his sets up on myspace. First thing I see when I go to sign up is:

"Uploading music you did not create or have rights to redistribute is a violation of MySpace’s Terms of Use and may be against the law."

So my question is, what's the story with DJ sets? They're obviously full of music the DJ didn't create. Do myspace just turn a blind eye, or should I tell him to think again?

    Thanks for your thoughts.

you wont be able to upload a set to myspace whether you have copyright or not.... they only let you have 15min (I think) maximum song length, thats why if you go to any djs myspace you never see a set on their player.
what I do is just post a link to your mix on your myspace blog,or mainpage, and maybe a tracklist there too, thats the best i can think of.
unless your friends mix does really well and gets anyway famous i would not worry about copyright, in all fairness there are literally millions of uncopyrighted or illegally uploaded mixes online.
