Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What is it about 12 conceded in 31 matches that the international selectors don't understand?

    gpnbyzzvn02b61.png

Bohs ace Murphy voted supporter's Player of the Season (with 88% of the vote)

    2. Owen Heary

    3. Killian Brennan

That it happened in the LOI? That's the only thing holding him back, rightly or wrongly.

Much as I wish only pain and misery on him and all his family, how he is behind the likes of Westwood in the Irish setup is baffling.

Quality keeper, supposed to be a top pro and had the balls to call Trappatoni / the FAI on the Westwood callup. Good man.

Goalkeeper is definately a position where the gulf in leagues doesn't make quite as much of a difference as the outfield positions. Given that we have very little in the line of keepers, he probably deserves his chance.

He will probably face a higher number of accurate shots and better runs to watch out for at a higher level, but these are bound to have happened at points during the season in the loi anyway so its not like people won't have an idea whether he can handle it or not, and he has shown that he's more then capable of handling anything thrown at him at his current level. Deserves a call up at least imo.

    ^ Thats nice that is.

He will not be called up, not even for a training session. Absolute farce, but thats the way it shall continue I'm afraid.

    Why do people do this?

I'm a Bohs fan and I don't want him near that shambles of an Irish team.

    1. It may mean missing Bohs games.

    2. He'd be alerting the attention of scouts overseas.

    3. As long as Given is there he'd only be warming the bench anyway.

That said, there's no doubt in my mind he's one of the top 3 Irish goalkeepers playing football at the minute.

Really good enough to take Given's place? I think not.

He is easily up there with the rest of the bench-warming hopefuls that play in the UK. Noone is going to dislodge Given for a few more years, imo, but Murphy deserves a chance to be number two.

    Are you being deliberatley obtuse?

Scroll right down to the bottom of the page. See what organisation is mentioned.

The fact that it is still called the e****m LoI on that website speaks volumes for it's credibility.

Maybe the players will read them and realise that they should move to a proper league if they want to play for Ireland

Well its the official league website, and yeah 12.500 from a total of 20 clubs you do the math its patethic ;)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 41,926 ✭✭✭✭_blank_

Well its the official league website,
So everyone who watches the league should use it?

    Get a grip here.

The. Web. Site. Is. Run. By. The. F. A. I.

Why the holy fook any LoI supporter would go near it is beyond me.

Or do you not understand that.

Ignoring it for the sake of a wind up I'd say, and there's a word for people like you.

and yeah 12.500 from a total of 20 clubs you do the math its patethic ;)
    Actually.

The fact that the FAI run the site I'd say the numbers are fabricated.

If it bothers you two so much to hear about Irish footballers on an Irish football forum, there are plenty of other threads about the premiership and Europe. Why do you even bother reading?

I get it up to here with this ****ing forum sometimes. If somebody makes snidey comments about Manu or Liverpool in a thread opened to discuss football matters only, there is (quite rightly) uproar. Yet it's open season for trolls when it comes to LOI threads?
