Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Some serious rain there now, tough conditions.

Who will that suit if anyone?

Moving to Louth might not have been such a bad idea! :D

Anyone know of a stream of NZ Scotland? Wouldn't mind a quick glance at that but can't find a working stream...

Was wondering myself, no one's broadcasting it on tv?

Seemed to both touch the ball at the exact same time to me. I would probably would have given a 22.

Canadian front row don't want to know about it at all in the scrum.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,178 ✭✭✭Fozzie Bear

Close to the line that one. Not sure about it......

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,727 ✭✭✭✭Sherifu

Lol, wouldn't have given that. Seemed to lose the ball as he got to the line.

Hmmm i would not have given that one myself.... Not that I'm complaining. ;)

Commentators asking about Paddy Wallace coming in, I'd say yes and and do it soon, plus the rest of the bench, game is as good as over in terms of a result, can't hurt to get game time for as many as possible, and not EO'S style 5 minutes worth.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,727 ✭✭✭✭Sherifu

Lololol, **** crossfield kick but Canada are useless.

God almighty I'm feeling sorry for Canada. It's going to be a loooooonnnng 50 minutes for them....

Another belter of a kick from ROG.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 27,325 Mod ✭✭✭✭Podge_irl

Did the ref not tell Reddan to wait before the kick there (which Reddan then didn't do obviously)? Thought I heard him say that.

Understand the sentiment, but we have to be ruthless and unforgiving in these situations, this is what the great teams do.

True and no complaints from me. We can only play whats put in front of us and def need that ruthless streak if we are going to have any sort of success. We have had our arses handed to us plenty of times in the past. No harm to turn the tables now and again.

Empty the bench at half time!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,178 ✭✭✭Fozzie Bear

I suppose the win will set us up for next week and Kidney can empty the bench if he wants in the second half. At least a 20 minute run for the replacements.

Just hope the big win does not get people expectations up too much for the AB's game though.

RTE's commentators are disgraceful...well okay just McGuirk (whatever way its spelled). Have some respect to the opposition no matter how much your beating them by. Disgraceful.

I'd like to see the following changes at half time :

    ROG OFF WALLACE ON
    BOD OFF HORGAN ON
    POC OFF CALDWELL ON
    KEARNEY TO FB
    EARLS TO CENTRE

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,178 ✭✭✭Fozzie Bear

Was Buckley bad or does Kidney have an eye on the All Black game to give Bull a run out??

Perhaps he won a lotto at half time to see who could come off!

No value in 80 minutes of this stuff for him anyway, but surely Wallace was the guy to bring ion for match time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,255 ✭✭✭anonymous_joe

    Where's Wallace?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,035 ✭✭✭murphym7

No real value playing a match like this. Did anyone think Canada was going to be this bad? I Didn't.

I can picture Kidney handing out the raffle tickets. And the winner is a salmon coloured ticket, number 936, serial number 9M7765.......

Wayhey, and the bench is empty!!!

Godammit was watching this on BBC online and the feed just died on about 60 mins. Always happens with live feeds, so bloody annoying!

I thought DOC was unbelievably anonymous tonight.

Overall good performance, Ferris could well be in with a shout for starting against Arg and AB. I was very happy with how the backrow performed tonight

I also thought Horgan played very well when he came on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,035 ✭✭✭murphym7

We will have to look further than Paddy Wallace as a replacement for ROG. Not sure where to look though, Sexton? Humphreys?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,787 ✭✭✭d-gal

Reckon wallace did enough to nail down a backrow spot, reckon it will be ferris, wallace and heaslip. Jennings played well but heaslip and ferris were superior and jennings failed to make an impact as the groundhog.

Good overall performance, earls, kearney and bowe excellent. Fitz didn't get much ball but was encouraging. Reddan was really slow getting ball away from the ruck but stringer wasn't much better.
Toss up between flannery and best, both did very little wrong

    well done ireland

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,894 ✭✭✭dreamer_ire

I think Ferris wrote his name on next week's team sheet. Put in 100% throughout the whole game.

EOS was a pundit on BBCs coverage of the game which I have to say I found very strange. It seemed kinda inappropriate that the guy who was sacked appears on the sidelines for the new boys first day in charge!

They're showing clips of the all blacks v scotland after the break. Good stuff.

I thought Humphries did really well against Munster in the Ulster match but he seems to be out of favour with Matt Williams so really hasn't had much game time at all this year.

Wallace has played really well this year but at centre rather than at 10. The most important position on the pitch and we have no obvious replacement.... if ROG is injured we are knackered.

Thought they both did well but I would be inclined to start Best against the ABs and use Flannery as an impact sub.

I really think DOC has to go if he can't even make any kind of impact against Canada.
