My boss is trying to move me to a different position because of the slow down.
I have been told it will be a temporary move but this is only on the grounds that work picks back up.
The boss says this is not a redundancy issue as the move is only temporary.
The move would be at least 3 months and my job duties would be totally different to what im doing now.

I've been with the job for 8 years now and only signed a temp contract when i joined.

I really need to know if they can sack me for refusing the move in position.
Also if they do sack me because there is not enough work there what options do i have.
