    Hi,
My rising mains stopcock has broken so I need to swirch the water off from the feed outside the house, however the valve in the road is about 2 feet deep and the key needs to fit a 1" square nut.
Can anyone tell me where to buy a key to fit this or do I need the water board to come and shut it off.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
    Chris

Most hardware shops have water keys.
Builders providers like chadwicks etc. probably stock them as well.

'T' shaped jobbie to reach down the hole and turn the valve.
