Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    BIRR & DISTRICT MOTOR CLUB
40 TH CELEBRATIONS – HUGE SUCCESS

On behalf of the organising committee of the Birr & District Motor Clubs Motor sport Weekend we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported us this weekend. As part of the Motor sport Weekend we held a very successful Dinner Dance in Grants Hotel in Roscrea on Saturday night, it was a great occasion which brought young & old members of the Club in a joyous occasion, we all got to meet people we haven’t seen in a number of years. Included in our esteemed guests on Saturday night was Mr. Alan Wallace from Tullamore who won the very first event that the Motor Club ever ran. Also on Saturday we had the launch of our club history booklet, which covers the History of the Club from the very first meeting of 5 like mined people at the Esso station in Birr up to the present with well over 100 members. It is 112 pages of incredible history of the Club from Day 1 to present; it would make a fabulous Christmas present for anyone interested in Motor sport or the history of the club. We hope to have it available in local shops very soon, for the moment if you contact Eoin Longworth on 086.8179297 or Pat Horan on 067.21123 or any club member we will have copies available for sale. The club would like to thank Eoin Longworth, Pat Brophy & there team for the hours & hours of hard work that went into producing this superb book.
