Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Simple question,
Is the basic xbox a HD device. I have the basic cables into a HD TV but wondering if I am getting the best picture possible.
    Any thoughts?.

As in old Xbox 1 or Xbox 360 arcade? Xbox 1 No. Xbox 360 Yes.

Depends what kind of cable you're using as well if it's a 360
    HDMI - yes, best possible
Component - does the job nicely
    Composite - DEAR GOD NOE!

I'd say Vga with digital optical is better than HDMI. you can get true full screen resolutions with Vga. HMDi on 720p TV max res 1280 x 720, use VGa and you get up to 1366 x 768.

Then it depends on your Tv too, with in built graphics processors in TV's, And over scanning.

Some TV's accept 1080p from the Component. Others don't.

All the one I think the original post was about the first Xbox, not the 360.

Im pretty sure he means the xbox 360, referring to the basic one as being not an elite.
