Just looking for my first car, originally i wanted a mazda 323 f, it was kinda my first love and i felt i had to have one at some stage in my life! now im broadening my sights, to make the first car process a little easier, and suggestions? lets be honest, we are mainly talking aestethic reasons here...mainly.

find attractive taking into account the fact it has to be a first car I take it?

93ish honda civic..the 1.3 hatch.

I'd consider that very attractive and nice and easy to insure.

If I were buying a car purely based on what it looked like, i'd buy a Series 1 Alfa 156 Lusso.

if you're over 5'10 OP that's a hard car to get in and out of.
my OH had one; fast as a hot snot and nice looking too,but too much of a hairdresser's car for a male imo

First car as in 'first own car' or 'first car to drive'?

If its the latter, the nicer a car you get the more chance you appear to have of causing it to look seriously worse by the end of it all going by what my mates managed to do. By a muckbox and learn in it, then get the car you want.

If its the former, ignore that rant obviously...

I take it the objective is to make sure everybody knows its your first car?

You could always buy something sensible and put 'L' plates on it.

Then everyone will still know but you won't have paid extra for the hairdresser styling.

You can't go wrong with a 6 to 10 year old Corolla / Micra / Astra / Starlet / Almera, and when you reverse into walls and stuff it won't much affect the look of the thing.

I would consider my current A6 to be my best car yet but of all my 13vehicles I must say, I'd love my old black '92 1.5 3dr Civic back again. I was so chuffed to own it and it was so affordable, sensible and stylish that it gave me a great sense of pride.

A first car which is nice and original in its design in my opinion is the old colt. I have one of these myself.

Like the look of the hyundai coupe, ford puma, toyota celica, opel tigra, mazda mx-3 too tho, but not as a first car
