    Hi,

Now I sent the car off to its final destination (scrap yard)

What do I need to do with my cert reg? I mean, I obviously don't want the car in my name anymore.

    Thanks,

    Thanks,

If the car was completely beyond repair dont worry about it

If it wasn't then i'd be looking for a cert from the scrappage company incase somebody repaired it and put it back on the road.

    The log book?

Send it back to Shannon with a cover note saying its been scrapped.

Isn't there a bit on the change of ownership you fill in to say it's been scrapped?
Or am I thinking of the 'off the road' declaration form.

My cert says when vehicle is scrapped send it to CENTRAL VEHICLE OFFICE FREEPOST ROSSLARE WEXFORD having ticked the appropriate box.

However I have a different reg cert that states Ennis but only if you have scrapped the vehicle yourself (ie if you give/sell it to a scrapper they must do the paperwork I guess, but would you trust them to send it?)

why do I have two certs?

    Mike
