I'm just wondering how many words and phrases do most dogs know??? My dog knows a lot of words. Everytime I'm gonna do something with her, I say what it is so that she has a word familiar with the action eg going to the beach, going to see my mam and if she can't find a toy I can tell her where it is cos she knows…

My dog knows a lot of words. Everytime I'm gonna do something with her, I say what it is so that she has a word familiar with the action eg going to the beach, going to see my mam and if she can't find a toy I can tell her where it is cos she knows 'upstairs beside the bed' and she can open doors too with her paws. She jumps up and pushes the handle down. She does this herself. I'd never think of teaching her how to open a door!!!
