Brake disc skimming?

Does anyone know of any places that do brake disc skimming in Dublin? I need to get the 4 pads replaced and discs skimmed on my BMW 320ci - I was going to get the discs replaced but finances are tight atm and I was told by a mechanic recently that my discs would be ok to get skimmed.

It may be cheaper to get new discs & pads from the likes of GSF or OTTO.
What makes you think you need the discs skimmed?
