earwigs!!!

    Hi, i have just moved into a new place and it is crawling with earwigs and other insects. I really dont want them in my house but i dont want to kill them either- is there anyway to prevent them entering in the first place? I have just picked up a packet of nuts and raisins to find an earwig in it- yuk!
    Any help appreciated!

    egh my skin is crawling just thinking about them!
