Can I get my Nuvi 255w to speak street names

The nuvi 255w (North America version only) can speak street names : (e.g. "Turn right ON ELM STREET in 500 ft.") : Is there a way I can get the Nuvi 255w on sale here to speak street names, (software upgrade/patch etc)

It would be a combination of the voices that are loaded onto the unit and the version of the maps. If the US version does it though then I cannot understand whay nobody has come up with how to get the EU version to do it using particular map versions, unless there is actually two different hardware versions of the 255?
