problem with my pc

    heh,

    i built a pc a few months ago but i turned it on lately and it powers on then powers off and on again but nothing comes up on the screen. does anyone know what might cause this.

    My guess is the motherboard. Its not the graphics card or monitor.

    First things first, check the ram. If you have 2 or more sticks, try them one at a time. If no joy, try reseating the processor and heatsink. After that, disconnect and reconnect EVERYTHING. If none of this works, we can rule out any inexplicable gremlin-related problems.

    Then and only then, we can start to consider mobo/psu problems.
