    I've a 99 Celica VVT-LI Jap import.

    It's engine management light has come on and has lost a lot of its oomph, especially below 5k revs.

    I'm being quoted a big labour charge for getting it checked out in a main dealer - anyone have any suggestions?

    Yeah the lift is fine. But everything's low on power, especially sub 3k revs is non existent.
