    We've heard all the advertisements.

0% Finance, free weekend away for two, free floor mats, free Sat Nav, free road tax, etc, etc.

Which one would make you jump up and contact a 'participating dealer'?

    Poll with many options......

None really, I would first want the cheapest cash discount or best trade in, then I will talk about fancy offers. I'd say 0% finance would be the most appealing provided the deal on the table for the retail price was sound.

Free floor mats on a new 320d and I'd be totally sold.

OK - maybe I wasn't clear enough. By 'offers' I mean items of a substantial value - not items that are just 'thrown in' like a few quid of fuel or a spurious set of mats. Something substantial like 0% finance that could save you a fair few hundred or more.

What a piece of marketing genius! :D The first manufacturer that comes up with that in a workable fashion will instantly gain at least an extra 5% market share!!

You forgot the latest recession beater "buy one car get another of lesser value free". :D

Personally myself I would want the best possible discount. After that maybe a free service might or extended warranty would interest me. I don't finance my cars so don't care about special interest rates.

Not interested in other shiney things either such as shopping vouchers or holidays. I can get them without the car.
