Some seriously 'hard' charachters around the town also in the mid 70's, anyone remember Charlie Ross or Juda Ward, poor Juda got blasted in the stomach by a soldier down on quay st. for getting his daughter up the duff. What about 'Bootsie and Snudge', you used to see their names in graffiti all around the town then.

Not forgetting about Rip off Promotions who ran some of the best gigs in the Ploughmans early 80's, now demolished but roughly located at the car park behind the cinema on the longwalk. Phil Tipping, Paul 'Flash' Farrelly, and Ian Coogan were the main promoters behind it from recollection, saw some class acts in the Ploughmans of a Saturday night including Microdisney, Auto Da Fe and the Frank and Walters, smoking and drinking our heads off, Barry Connolly, Greg Tipping, Davy Wiseman, some of the happiest memories I have.
