San Marzano Tomatoes

    I friend of mine is a real Italian food connoisseur (and excellent cook). He is crazy about San Marzano Tomatoes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Marzano_tomato) and is distraught that he can't source them easily here in Ireland.

    They used to be stocked in LIDL but they haven't been on the shelves in a while. He's written to LIDL and to the growers in Naples (finagricola.it) trying to see if they will re-introduce them again, but it seems like LIDL are not being proactive enough about getting back in contact with the growers.

    So....

    If you appreciate what these tomatoes are all about, then would you please add your name to a petition that will be forwarded on to LIDL to encourage them to get in contact with the growers and put them back on the shelves.
