Mobile broadband in midkerry - who's best?

    Hi,

    I live in castlemaine, near killorglin, and am looking into 3g mobile broadband. does anyone know who has the best speeds, least problems in the area out of 02, vodaphone and 3? thank you for any help you can give. john

    You'll never know the answer to that question, until you try them out. There service is simply too inconsistent, even with users in the same general area.

    Three is universally agreed to be rubbish, so don't even consider it. O2 seems about the best, but just because it works for me, doesn't mean it will for you. They don't do the 30 day trial anymore, but them might still have some trial period.

    Vodafone have 3G coverage in Castlemaine AFAIK.

    Unless you really need Mobility; Wireless, Cable, DSL all better and better value.

    in case anybody is wondering what the answer 02 is by far the best. i got vodaphone but returned it for being very slow, now have 02 and am getting speeds of 4 meg. thanks to everyonr for their help.

    vodafone recently gave my area ( village ) 3G coverage

    i think im right in saying im the only one with a vodafone 3G modem out here, i consistenly get 3MB down speeds and pings of 100ms and often use it instead of my sh1te eircon connection:rolleyes:

    OP it totally depends on your coverage, try both voda and O2 if u can but advoid 3 like the plague
