Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Xbox 360 - Problem Reading Disks

    My Xbox has developed quite a habit of not being able to read discs when I put them in. Any one else experienced this at all? Fixes?

    yea i kinda have the same problem, i get a lot of DREs and sometimes have to open and close the tray a few times. what i do now is install the game on to my hdd, i still sometimes have to open and close the tray but i don't get any more DREs mid-game. is your 360 not reading every game or is it just happening now and again. if its not reading any game then you will prolly have to send it to ms.

    I get it all the time also. Sometimes it can take 15 minutes of opening and closing the drawer for the console to recognise that its a game and not a dvd. Upgrading to the Elite next week to make use of installing games to hard drive.

    Cheers for the help lads. Yeah it sounds as if I basically have the same problem as yee. Looks like I'll just have to battle on with it.

    This probably sounds mad but i have less disc unreadable errors since i changed my xbox from standing up to laying down!

    Except for Fallout 3. That crashes all the time.

    That may well be right! I've heard something along those lines before actually. I'll definitely try that out.

    Miine has never been standing up...always had it lying down. Definitely a dodgy DVD drive.
