Anyone know if ITD have started blocking Gmail chat ?? It's been giving me trouble for a few days now and today it saying it's blocked and won't connect at all. I'm in a student village and this indescriminate blocking is starting to annoy me :mad: I can't even watch RTE news online or anything it's a nightmare. Oh for the days of first year when not even the torrents were blocked !!

Anyway I don't really want to take evasive action but I'll be forced to

RTÉ is gone to sh1t on it's own, didn't need any assistance from ITD.

Using chat on gmail on campus computers is just all over the place for me, some days it works perfect and others not at all, I know all the computers are running off the same connection but it always works for me in the venus labs for some reason.

Gmail chat working fine for me right now!

Havent had a prob with in at all really. thats both with ordinary one and vid chat(though this can be a bit slow at times)

The chat drops every so often for a couple of seconds but is back up fairly pronto.
