If it's not too late for you!

The Ridge Pool hotel would be the most central hotel, just off the centre of town. Can't comment on it as I've never stayed there!

Quattro's, in Pearse St., (middle of town) have great live music and a late bar. If you walk around, you're bound to find somewhere decent - no shortage of pubs around town!

The ramada on the outskirts of the town is quite good. In the town itself, there's the courthouse hotel and the downhill hotel. If your're interested in a b&b in the centre of town, i'd recommend the loft bar. The best pubs would be Brennans lane and Breathnachs.

Stayed there once - a complete dive. AS far as I know, the hotel went into administration and it is now an accommodation centre for asylum seekers.

    Is it:o

I only mentioned it as it's closest to town, all the other hotels are a good bit outside the town.

EDIT - The Loft would probably be the most ideal choice then, for location.

Ridge Pool is closed but no asylum seekers there. The Loft used to have a curfew (dont know if they still do) Ramada probably your best option. Quatro and Brennans are good bars with music and late bars.

Look into the Downhill Inn as well, about 10 minute walk from the town but cheap enough. Theres the Downhill HOtel which is a little closer but not much. If you like good food book into The Ice Hotel or Crockets. Crockets is also a late bar but tends to be a bit yuppyish!

Dont stay in the Ridgepool, its a kip and very noisy:(. I'd advise you to stay in the Ice House or Mount Falcon both very luxurious if you want to splash the cash but both a bit outside the town. Theres a Ramada Hotel in Ballina too. In terms of pubs, if you are going to Ballina dont miss Crockets on the Quay, great pub and fab food (do accommodation as well). Dillons Bar and Restaurant is great for food and drinks. Apart from that I recommend the Sean Sibin, An Bolg Bui, VJ Doherty's (real old style country pubs), Quattro (trendy) and the Ice House for cocktails, very trendy!
