Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm thinking on buying Gears 2 but having never bought the first Gears of War and consequently never played it right through would I be better to buy the first one and play it through before buying the second one to enjoy it or will I be able to enjoy the second one and understand the story without the first one?

You, the good guys, have to kill them, the bad guys. What else do you need to know?

The introduction of GOW 2 pretty much explains in the first 5 minutes everything that happened in the first GOW anyway... I'd still buy GOW though, surely you'll be able to pick it up cheap and it is a great game too, though if you play GOW 2 first, some things won't have quite the same "wow" factor and you'll be missing some of the things you can do in the second one...
