Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Apparently someone made a bit of a whoopsie and a list of the entire salaries of the MLS were posted on their website.

Follow the link to see the details

    http://www.thespoiler.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/9_7_08_salary_info_alpha.pdf

    Some notable ones

    David Beckham $6,500,000.04
    Juan Pablo Angel $1,593,750
    Brad Guzan $103,974.38
    Darren Huckerby $355,000
    Ronnie O'Brien $258,750
    Brian McBride $189,333.25

Also a fair few players on a salary of $12,900 which I presume is some sort of apprentice-type deal

Presuamnly Guzan's salary has jumped quite a bit since joining Villa

Previous Time Person of the Century Candidate Ronnie O'Brien pocketing a tasty quarter of a mil which aint a bad old payday.

About a week's wages for Lampard, to put it into perspective.

Both McBride and O'Brien would earn far more in the Championship

These guys maybe get far more commercial salaries through sponsorship though than most British players. Landon Donovan I reckon gets more in sponsorship than his MLS salary.

they've been available a long while now. I think they were actually published by the US players union who were pissed off at the level of inequality in the players salaries. It's ridiculous Beckham gets so much while some of his senior team mates earn little more than what would be minimum wage for this country.

Can't imagine good old honest Brian McBride (and the majority of the playing base) does though!!

In relative terms, those numbers look extremely well managed. Trust American sports to know how to cut their cloth.

Sadly I can't see their game developing well though.

When you're not able to pay more than 250k for one of your best players, they'll start to drift towards Europe.

How old's O'Brien at this stage?

That list is what the MLS pay them, their clubs pay them more again on top of that.

    You sure?

I honestly don't know because the rules for American sports and player ownership are boring and overly complex. :P

Who cares to be honest. I am sure we can all agree that they are payed peanuts.
