Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

He may start and play 70 min,or Rafa could give him the last 20min to play.I would rather he started but ether way I cant see him playing the full 90 min.

    Carra right back then.

Bah - no Torres no Darby

Does this mean Keane playing up front on his own?

I didn't get to see the game the other night - thankfully - but I did see a few comments about Hypia & Agger not working out too well at CB. Was that the case ? I know Carra at RB will help a lot but so it's hardly the same as having Deggan there but still..

Yep, unless Gerrard is right side (unlikely).

yep, has to be kuyt down the right and Gerrard behind Keane. Happy enough to see Torres on the bench, easing him back in is the way and Bolton would have tried to kick him around the place early on.

Jeez i have my doubts about Agger and hyppia

Is Torres not fit yet. or is he just taking it handy with him which is a good thing maybe.

    come on Pool.

    Keane to score two more

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Rafa wants to keep him out of the Spain side, if he plays him he's "fit" so will have a hard time not releasing him.

Jesus, our fans are loud today. Louder than a lot of games at Anfield this year

Nearly every game I watch away fans are always louder than home fans, and Liverpool fans are no exception.

Bolton seem to be trying to focus on getting at Aurelio down the right whenever they have the chance. Luckily he seems to be playing well today but it does mean he cant get too forward. Carra doesnt seem to be so pinned back at RB at all.

Bolton sitting very deep when they dont have the ball.

Tasty through ball from Masch to Riera there

Bolton's defence in the final third doesnt look the most solid

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,224 ✭✭✭✭SantryRed

    1. Jaskelainen's on form.
    2. There a strong physical side.
    3. Liverpool have struggled to put chances away the past few weeks(exception of WBA)

Yep, they are sitting so far back that both Agger and Hyppia have been getting really well forward. Eg Agger there, in the peno spot and not from a corner. Looks like Bolton are hoping to ride their luck, but they can't have planned to defend whole game on the edge of their area..

    Great effort from Kuyt.

He defo has a new pair of shooting boots this season. He's unleashed some thunderbolts

Nice effort from Kuyt off the bar

Keane looking isolated upfront - Torres for Alonso at half-time

Tasty tasty header from Kuyt 1-0

I love those lobbed headers to the far post, they make the keeper look so silly.

if Liverpool stay in front there is no way Torres will come on!

Less likely to see Torres now

    Bad miss by Keane there

    From Guardian
31 min: Liverpool pile on the pressure and Keane manages to miss the ball from five-yards out with the goal dressed in lingerie and inviting him to come in for some coffee.

    Mike

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,492 ✭✭✭MementoMori

Carra offering very little going forward from RB and not having much to do defensively - I'd far prefer to see him as CB with Sami on the bench and Darby on RB

Riera playing well along with Kuyt

    Keane looking off-form

    Maybe Babel upfront

Would really like a second goal to strengthen things and make life a lot easier in the second half

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,529 ✭✭✭Im_No_Superman

    Lol at Keanes miss.

Liverpool are playing very well though has to be said, the game should be out of sight for Bolton now.

More like lying on the bed in the nip with legs spread

Arguably worse than the CL miss

Oh bugger. Thank God ( good goal ruled offside!)

We need an early goal in the 2nd half to kill them off.

Id be very worried if it gets to the 70th minute and still only 1-0

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,910 ✭✭✭✭whatawaster

I will destroy Robbie Keane if we don't win this game.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,492 ✭✭✭MementoMori

ooh think the ref got that one wrong

Thats always the danger with 1-0 - Also worryingwas the amount of space Bolton players got from that corner.

Dont think Reina has been particularly impressive especially with his distribution - way too many balls hoofed long and possession handed back to Bolton.

I'd swap Alonso for Babel at the moment - with the possibility of Torres for Keane around the 70 mark.

Another option sub wise could be Darby for Hyypia

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,910 ✭✭✭✭whatawaster

Correct decision i think. Clearly obstruction.
