Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Was at the game on Saturday with my brother. We went to a stag in Manchester but we were fcuked if we were heading to Old Trafford with Liverpool playing 20 mins down the road. First time at an away game. Atmosphere was class. Really lucky to get tickets for it. We were let down and were about to walk away when we noticed the ticket office was open chanced our arms for any tickets and got to 2 front row tickets upper stand in the Liverpool end.

Alonso was outstanding. He seemed to pick the right pass every time he touched the ball. Great goal from Kuyt, Mascherano was at his usual stuff. Agger and Hyppia....... what a difference a few days make. Terrible on Wed but were never really troubled on Sat, think Sami was skint for pace once.

Dont know if it was shown on tv or not but Carragher went fcukin ape$hit at Alonso. We had the ball bout 25 yards out from the Bolton goal and Alonso knocked it outta play cos Aurelio was down injured. Carragher went straight over to Alonso and started giving out fcuk cos we were in a good position. Mascherano came across to step in saying Alonso was right and to just leave it and Carragher started screaming at the two of them then. It was hilarious, he went completely nuts at them!

Also a bit of crowd trouble which was sad to see. Started early in the game when Bolton fans got a dad with 2 kids no more than 7/8 taken out of the ground cos they were Liverpool fans in the Bolton end. The dad wasnt wearing a jersey and neither were the little girls but one had a scarf around her neck. Not sure if they were let into the Liverpool end. Then just before the second goal the two sets of fans were giving each other abuse. Bolton fan threw something into the Liverpool end. Pool fan that got hit went nuts and ended up kicked out by the cops. As he was taken away Gerrard scored. Some Liverpool fans in one of the director's boxes jumped up cheering and a couple of gob$hites below them in the Bolton end tried to climb into the box throwing a few swings. Police and stewards sorted it out straight away though.

Sorry for the long post but thought the above probably wasnt shown on tv

Yea the Carra Alonso thing was shown on Sky just surprised Sly Sports News did not try and make it into something else like they usually do

didnt we put WBA away with great ease last week?

    or do they not count?

On a side note; If Arsenal or Utd scored a goal today like our first, everyone on here would be tugging themselves off with excitement. it was an unbelievable passage of play.

Dont you know by now it only counts if its Arsenal or Man Utd and its a fluke if done by Liverpool

well they may have made a big deal out of it except that it wasn't a 20 pass move leading to a goal, it was a 20 pass move leading to whacking a cross off the full back which luckily fell to a liverpool player to cross it.

Lets not get carried away with ourselves, our final passes and crosses have been poor after these moves.

yeah, Setanta showed the tail end of the Carra v Alonso thing. The jist of it seemed to be that Carra thought that Alonso should have put the ball out of play by having a punt at goal rather than kicking it out over the sideline. They showed Alonso gamely patting Carra on the back after the disagreement.

I'd kinda go along with Carra on that one. Felt Alonso coulda had a pop on goal.
The danger then though, say the keeper saved the shot and Bolton came out and attacked, some folk would expect Bolton then to put the ball out of play.
Still tho', I'd take the risk :)

What annoyed me about the Carragher incident was that Gerrard should have been the one to step in to calm things down and make sure they kept their heads, not Mascherano. Instead he stood looking at it and then turned away when Mascherano appeared.

In terms of people you wouldn't **** with:

    Mascherano > Carra > Gerrard

That is the natural order of things, it's no surprise Gerrard stayed schtum.

    ;)

In fairness, if Agger approached me toothless, fingerless and in a bad mood, I'd run quite fast. Same goes for Skrtel ahead of Mascherano
