Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Want to fit a new cartridge to my Rega P3 turntable, anyone know someone in Dublin who could do this (as I know I'll make a mess of it myself)?

Cloney Audio are the only ones I'd trust. Usually you'd have to buy a cart there for them to be fitting it but if you ask very nicely and they're not busy they might accommodate you. What kind if cart is it out of interest?

    I was thinking of a Denon DL160 ...

Called Cloney - they recommended an Ortofon 2M red which seems to get good reviews ... might just go with that

Ah, I got the impression you had bought a cart and wanted it fitted. The Ortofon goes very well with the Rega, it's a purely personal opinion but the Denon should go in a bin.

That was my intention! I was going to get the Denon online (which appears to be a v. good budget cartridge), then try convince someone to fit it. However, the Ortofon sounds like a good option and I guess it's good to give a little bit of my business to local firms!

But it will sound like a budget cart too, a Rega deserves better. Good luck with it.
