Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Got these recently http://www.mandp.co.uk/productInfo.aspx?catRef=222064. First time trying such cheap boots and I'm very happy with them. If I was ordering them again I'd buy a half size larger though. Their size 10 is more like a 9.5.

I'd go for something like the RST if you want cheap and comfortable. Racing boots can be hard to walk in and tend to leak in bad weather due to the joints in them. I currently use motocross boots everyday and although heavy with a lack of feeling for gear changes they are warm, comfortable and haven't leaked with two years of use so far which is probably why couriers use them. They are expensive though. Generally people don't really use the toe sliders on the race boots when road riding.

In fairness...anything that's gonna be 100% waterproof is NOT going to be cheap. Get a pair of Nitro boots (about 100euro in Crossans) they'll do in showery weather. If it's gonna be ****e weather, put some plastic bags on your feet, then put the boots on. Don't laugh! It's cost effective and it works!

Got a pair of Oxtar waterproof boots in Cotters Balymount for €85, well worth a visit.

Jeez, were they the TCS Gore-Tex? That's really good. Is that recently? Might head out that way myself.

To be honest if it doesn't have Gore-Tex then its not waterproof.

I have Alpine Star boots (don't ask me the model) with Gore-Tex and they really are completely waterproof, but my feet get a bit sweaty in hot weather.
