Cancelling UPC?

I've really had enough of UPC. They can go stick their "service" where the sun does not shine.

I got disconnected for 6 hours tonight. This, as you are probably aware, is not a once off thing with them. 20MB broadband is just not worth it. I'd rather have a reliable 2MB service than a 20MB service that is as reliable as house of cards.

Problem: I just signed the new 20MB contract a few months back (why? WHY? Why did I sign it? because I thought things would get better. Sadly I was wrong.). How do I get out of this contract? Is it painful? They're obviously not providing the service I've signed up for, so I should be able to cancel it, right?
