Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Amazing performance from Ireland, not just in his goals, but in his work ethic and tackling. Cracking stuff.

    =======

Any more off-topic discussion of Ireland and Ireland can go to a new thread. Let's not have the same **** over and over again. I'll delete any posts in this thread from here on.

His car has nothing to do with football yet that's the constant ammunition used against him.

Moving on, he's going to be a better version of Scholes and I can't wait.

Ahh now... He'll (Stevie) have to learn to tackle first!

Have you watched City at all this season? He's a shoe in for Player of the Year and will make the PFA Team of the Year if he keeps this form up.
Yes, I have. From what I saw of him last season, he looked a useful player, nothing special though. This season though, I just can't get over how improved his game is. Last season, he would have been more likely to pull out of a 50:50 challenge, looked uncomfortable on the wing, didn't get forward as much, etc. If there was an award for most improved player, he would be a cert.

 That's one of his biggest assets and why I think he'll be a more complete version of Scholes.

I think he was joking considering Scholes is one of the worst tacklers in the PL..

it will be funny to see, how many of these players for city will start next season- with all the money that will be there, surely there will be plenty of new players coming in.

I'm watching it on TVU player.

Can we make a fucking sub please? Get Vassell and Benjani off. They have both been disgraceful.

EDIT: Ah fuck off Vas. Poxy air shot with the goal at his mercy.

I don't understand how Vassell's still at the club, he's so poor. Surely Elano offers much much more.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,909 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

I'm slowly but surely turning to the dark side who want Hughes' head. He just does not seem to have a plan B. 75 minutes of shite before he has the bollox to change things. Absolutely disgraceful. And it's not the first time either.

Fair play to the ref there, that kinda thing happens way too often. Andy Gray is such a plonker though...

Every fucking Sunday I saty up til 3am to watch this shower of pricks and every week they feck me over. Inept in every department from the manager right throught to the clown he has playing in the right win. Deserve absolutely nothing from this game and with 5 minutes to go probably will get just that. Heads have to roll and soon.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,588 ✭✭✭jaykay74

Tbh I'd sooner have Sven with a 200 mil kitty than Hughes, not that the manager has much say on what happens at city. Hughes can stick to the golf course when its comes to Jan sales if he still has a job.

Again well done to Hull, first season in the premiership,a small budget which shows you, it can be done and they are still getting good results, have to give huge credit to Phil Brown.

Just seen this on MOTD2 :pac:

There's no way Hughes made that decision. Who's normally stand-in / vice captain?

+1 - I was surprised when I heard he was and the first thing that came to mind that it would be unlike Hughes

he was interviewed before the game, and asked why he chose robinho as captain, he said something like, yea why not in a previous game, he was giving orders and telling people how to play, and showing leadership skills.
he was then asked; does he speak english- hughes said, yea hes not to bad, hes had a few lessons.........

it was a bit of a weird decision giving it to him allright.its usually richards isnt it?
EVEN IRELAND MIGHT HAVE BEEN A GOOD CAPTAIN TO PICK!
