In general yes, but don't expect any fun out of the 1.4.....it's slower than....Revenue are at answering phones.

ive a 1.4 02 focus. I will see its extremly good car to drive and handles well.

    but acceleration is painfully slow.

what year are you looking at?. Youll get a good deal on a 1.6 if you look around. there a solid reliable car. Once they coil pack was changed on them!. the 1.4 is no rocket thats for sure, but if your doing a lot of city driving, then it might be good enough.

The 1.4 spolis what is otherwise a superb car. It's laughably slow.

Make sure you get a 1.6.

The focus is a great car but I agree with some of the posters the 1.4 is not peppy enough at all when you need it to be, go for the 1.6 if you can at all.
