Transmetropolitan!!! - Hunter S Thompson in the future - brilliant stuff altogether!

Sinister Dexter - Wisecracking Irish contract killer and his South American patner in a futuristic Eastern Europe

Global Frequency - Wicked X-Files-ish techno thriller

Hitman - Irish American contract killer who specialises in killing superheroes; some real belly laughs!

Persepolis - Paris based Iranian journalist tells her life story in comic form; brilliant! give it to your daughters, if you have any, or your teenage sisters if you don't!

Most if not all Alan Moore related stuff.... "From Hell" is wicked, "Top Ten" is a great cop show type thing set in a city full of superheroes - can't recommend it highly enough; a subsequent spin off called "Smax" was also very good indeed, but the series went down the toilet when Alan Moore left.
