Well done Galway United and the supporters who travelled.
Looks like the club will be getting a record fee for Jay O Shea. Great financial start to next season.

Brilliant result, poor game but who cares?? Will the players be full time or part-time next season? I doubt they can afford to do it full time?

Hard to know. 400k for Jay O'Shea from Derby should help

Is that actually happening? If it is 400k that's about a third of the annual revenue that united received this year.

Guy on another forum says this...
The fee is closer to 500K and a contract is on the table.

He flies home to Dublin to meet with agent (Kevin Moran) on Friday. There are 3 other clubs also interested, 2 of them premiership clubs so the deal with Derby is far from done and dusted. He will more than likely be flying over to spend some time with these other clubs in the near future.

Compared to the pittance that Cork got for Kevin Doyle (€75,000 or so I think), a decent six figure sum would be great for the club. Best of luck to O'Shea too when he does move.
