Astra Coupe Trade in

Hi,

I'm looking at buying a 2002/ 2003 318 coupe and am trading in a 1.8 2002 Astra Coupe. Any idea how much i should be looking for on the trade-in? Prices vary from 5-10k for this car on cbg and carzone. Car has 61k miles, full leather, good spec, good condition, new tyres, just NCT'd. Navy col. 2 owners. FSH.

I've been offered everything from 4,500 to €7,000 against a 318 coupe.

Anyone have any thoughts on comparing these 2 cars...?

Went to see the http://www.driving.ie/usedcars/index.cfm?fuseaction=car&carID=1259951 one and it has 73k miles, not km on it. Looks a bit shabby on the inside, has a lot of kerbmarks on the alloys and the balancing seems way off.

Thanks for the other one in Athlone - seems like great value.

I know there's a lot of deals to be had privately but I dunno if the Astra will sell particularly quickly and i need the capital for the new one!

id get a proper sport, all of those are se's with replica sport alloys :rolleyes:

you will get a nicer spec and a more desirable car, id wait on the right one, you will be glad you did
