    This is the music forum.

Well spotted... Mods please move this to a more appropriate forum, seeing as that garbage shouldn't be classified as "music";)

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,164 ✭✭✭BaRcOe

Why am I not allowed in Gigs and Events Forum? Hence this thread ebing here.
I f a Mod could get back to me that would be great ;)

Oh gosh that was cheesy. Crackers are needed.

In fairness, a lot of people on these boards name bands and music that I think are terrible, so you've every right to post in here, you like what you like and fuck what others think. 40,000,000 people have watched the Now You're Gone video on youtube so you are most definitely not alone in liking him. My two cents...

Wow...thats another 40,000,000 people who would probably dance to the sound of a euro store keyboard backing track. Basshunter & Cascada are for people who just don't understand music (e.g teenyboppers)

And of course you can't remember what it was like to be a teen? You don't exactly want Coldplay or The Script bangin' out at a party. And there's a lot of people that don't "get" hard trance either.

    Dont understand music?
Your just some old moany person, that doesnt take anyones opinion on board.
For all you know I could be an expert in music, I could have gotten an A in Leaving cert music and I could teach 5 instruments, but still, I like a little bit of basshunter, its a personal adrenaline rush I get from the up-tempo beats and synths of basshunters' music.

Maybe I dont understand YOUR kind of music, fair enough, and you dont understand eurotrance, club, electronic...etc by the sounds of it.

You compare the Genre of Club and Electronic to the sound of a euro store keyboard backing track, whereas I could compare Heavy metal to a bunch of pots and pans banging off eachother repetitively and then a truck driving into a pots and pans store when the Chorus comes on.;)

Opinions are opinions, music is music...

Did I say anywhere that I didn't listen to electronic music?? I listen to a lot of different electronic stuff spanning from trance to funky house, I also DJ & produce dance and in my opinion (which I'm allowed to have) Basshunter and the likes are making vapid, shallow tunes to bend over backwards for a bit of commercial exposure.

There is nothing special about basshunter, and believe me, I did try to give the guy a second chance after his first "single". But its nothing more than the very same 3 synth chords over & over till the end. I could literally slap something similar together in about an hour, no word of a lie. I generally don't like to be a snob, especially when it comes to electronica, but giving this guy credit is a bit too far IMO.

And no...I never ever ever listened to anything as bad as BH or Cascada in my teens - it was all bangin trance from start to finish :D

Ok fair enough, I understand where your coming from, Cascada is 1 big Copycat who cant right her own stuff and Basshunter just re-released now your gone and became well known, anyone could do that. Russia privjet is bangin you have to admit that!!

ps what software you running for your tunes? fruity loops? Id like to get into making my own material, ive done remixes nd stuff but id prefer the type of thing your doing!

Im liking Code Red btw!!nice work!

Cheers man! :) I used one of the Ejay programs for those tunes, think it was 5 or 6. They're great once you get the hang of how everything goes together, although when you're doing trance its quite hard to get the breakdowns "just right". I just haven't fully figured out the mastering features of it yet :D

Yeah, I don't think most of the replies here were an attack on Electronic music. I think it was more a reaction to mindless sh*tty electronic.

Yeh I heard the original Raindrops ages ago on the Best Of Trance Vol 6 album but the new Sash remix is awesome! Yeh I couldn't understand why he's not playing Dublin, surely they're would be a bigger crowd here than anywhere else?! But Dance Nation in Belfast should be good!
